Baldur's Gate 3 is a 100+ hour CRPG where a single mispurchase or a lost camp-supply stack can sour an act. Its dice-driven design already embraces player-controlled difficulty — Larian ships an extensive custom difficulty system in the base game.
Save tooling matters here more than almost anywhere: Honour Mode's single-save rule is thrilling, but a crash-corrupted save shouldn't end a 60-hour run. Automated, versioned backups are the planned headline feature for this title.
