Horizon Zero Dawn is single-player only, built around hunting machines for the parts that feed weapon and outfit upgrades.
That crafting loop is satisfying the first time and repetitive the second; resource and material tools let returning players focus on the combat sandbox and the story rather than farming the same machine components.
